hi to all so my Yahoo fantasy app has not been working for 4 days or so now. it did this previously a while ago for two days at a time at most 2-3 other times. puts me in quite a bind and has the possibility of me having to quit all my Yahoo fantasy.
I simply cannot function as a serious minded participant in fantasy like I have since beginning in it. my function in it is to win every league every sport every year. compounding issue is being a commissioner in some leagues and especially with Yahoo league message boards now kaput. I cannot and will not continue without it working.
the tech issue as best as I can surmise is this: real old Iphone- which cannot support new versions of the app(Yahoo only advice on fixing issues-download new or latest versions which address bugs etc)as I found out trying this route several times. the phone is maxed in storage it is not a wifi issue -wifi is mid to high range service
to be completely open I cannot afford a new phone or to try route of paying tech assistance be it in person or online. what I am asking and fully appreciate is anyone here with tech skills to at least attempt to solve this. I have tried the turn phone off- then on route with no result, that had worked one of the other times it happened.
thanks in advance for any replies and your time. take care

not bad Nate and thanks for replying as well problem is the new version of the app would then not be compatible with my ios version which is only supported up to 12.5 due to the age of the phone. unless I am wrong I can't try that?? weigh in on it though please as well-thanks

Not sure how to do it on an iPhone but every app caches data and eventually fills up your storage. You need to dump data to free up space. Also look for apps you never use and delete them.
I would google "how to free up space on an iPhone".

Trade in the iPhone for a newer phone through your carrier possibly? Might require a new contract, but if the service is good and the price is good a great chance to get an upgrade on your phone as well. Also lots of carriers will offer you a newer iPhone if you move to them as well. Check around, I'm with Mint mobile and love their service, just got sold to T-Mobile and no changes to the company other than deeper pockets and such I'd suppose?
