30 teams in league
6 five team divisions
you do not pick or have a MLB franchise as your base.
1st season :
you draft any 40 MLB/Milb players (in the Yahoo player data base) draft order to be determined randomly. there will be limit on total number of Milb picks allowed per team.
you will be drafting within a salary cap ceiling/floor construct. players salary will be per their current accurate contract at time of drafting.
there is no free agency nor trades. no adding/dropping -you will have only the 40 players you draft available to you.
year 2 and beyond FA/trades/drafting will be present.
innings pitching limit will be quite low than increased in year 2.
scoring lineup positions will also be lessened than increased in year 2.
so you will still be expected to start a full lineup every day the entirety of the season. that will be strictly enforced. no tanking
on a case by case basis if there is an absolute legitimacy to the inability to do so leniency will occur.
set up/info/details for Season 2 and beyond are all to be included in future posts/notifications.
additional notes:
the draft style/configuration is not yet determined. the range is from all Email to all LIve(In parts) or a combo thereof.
700 picks are to be made so this is a pivotal subject and function to tackle.
the draft if it happens will be conducted for next years fantasy season not our current one.
they only way this works is if there is 3-5 completely committed and dedicated to be the administration/BOD of it all.
so if you are interested in either just being an owner(still quite a commitment/time intensive)or an owner and BOD member.

this league by its nature is only for the self starting serious hard core fantasy baseball participant.
difficult settings/rules/wrinkles will be present. it also is only for the patient and non instant gratification types. thus the reasoning for no trades or free agency in year 1. that is something in my deepest serious leagues going all the way back. that I put in place as a true test. of loyalty -of non instant gratification seeking- of forward thinking and vision.
