I know they’ve already been dropped but can I go ahead and buy out the contracts for Herget and Acevado? No sense in having them on the books for next year when I have the cash to buy them out now. Thanks.

Thanks. Sorry I didn't catch this at the time, but Buyout is meant for Blue Contracts as a roster move for record keeping purposes only. It's an idea for the future though? I'll look at the idea in the off-season. |

Scott Brad is correct, if a player is released in real life you can also release them without any penalty, Free Agent won Blue Contract or not. This must be done while they are Free Agents, if they are signed to another MLB contract by another team then you have lost the chance at the no penalty release of said player. |
