After 24 hours have passed without a higher bid than the previous bid in the thread the GM will reply in the post with the club’s signing announcement. Contracts are for 3 years and are guaranteed if you should decide to waive said during the contract’s duration. You have 48 hours to make the announcement, afterwards I will move the player’s thread to your MLB Roster moves thread and move the player listing on the spreadsheet to the roster as well.
During the season (starts 3/20) you will have an additional 24 hours to add said player to your Yahoo Team roster. Failure to meet any of these deadlines will result in said player being placed on Waivers for 48 hours and you will still have the winning bid on your team payroll for it’s duration.

Milt, for clarity....
I've won two FA, both a league minimum.
Are both of these 3 year contracts, or can I declare one or both to be 1-Year? If I remember correctly, FA won before the season starts can be assigned a 1-year contract. Please confirm.
Also, if I choose to drop a play added via free agency, I am responsible for the entire salary for 1-year contracts and 100% of the first year, and 50% of the subsequent years.
Is that correct?
With that said, I am supposed to announce the details in the same FA thread

The 1 year option is only for in-season free agency. We instituted that to help teams replace injured or suspended players without having to make a long-term commitment.
Pre-season free agency is only 3-year blue contracts. There is no 1-year option.

As I posted all contracts are 3 year deals. With any player bid starting on or after 3/20 you will announce it in the signing announcement. If you forget to announce it, it’s automatically a 3 year contract.

Any free agent bid opened today through end of regular season can be designated 1-year or 3-year. This must be done at the time you claim the player.
Once playoffs begin, only those teams in the playoffs may bid on players, and only to replace an injured player. Those contracts are 1-year only.
