Exactly. There are ten MLB teams not owned in this league. That is the pool you'll be picking from.

Regarding the Rookie Draft.... Is it safe to assume that the majority of the prospects available will be the rostered from Philadelphia, Miami, Colorado and LA Angels? Obviously Painter and a few others are already taken. Additionally, we will not be able to draft prospects from other teams whether they're "protected" or not. Protected status more or less keeps the prospect should the MLB trade him away. Lastly, will the Rookie Draft occur after teams have decided on their Prospects? Thanks for helping out in clarifying this. We will be setting the Rookie Draft date for next weekend, exact date to be determined and I'll announce it soon. A reminder for all, the Rookie Draft is only from the 2023 MLB Draft class and only from these teams .. COL, DET, LAA, LAD, MIA, MIL, MIN, NYY, OAK & PHI. All other Draft picks are Franchise protected as long as they are signed to an MLB contract. If a player did not sign with their drafted team they are not eligible for the MLB Rooke Draft.

Yes only players who got drafted in 2023. You’ll have to wait for other players from these clubs to make their MLB 40 player roster debut before you can bid on them via free agency.

Milt, Just to confirm your post we can only draft players that were drafted in 2023? That is how I am reading your answer, I always asummed and drafted in years past it was any MILB player from one of the 10 not owned teams, but they didn't have to be drafted year before, as long as they weren't on another franchise from previous draft they were free to draft in the one round draft?

Brad This is how we drafted last year I believe. I think we all made a bit of a stink because it would have made Jackson Chourio undrafted for example. Sent from my SM-S918W using Tapatalk

We changed it in an attempt to give the lower seed managers a chance at a more established rookie. Don't know if it was a 1 year change or not though.

I thought it was for ANY minors player from the 10 unowned teams. To include the 2023 draft class, international signings, previously unknown quick risers. Jackson Chourio is a perfect example. He would’ve been undraftable of it was only the previous draft class.

Okay gents, it will stay the same as last year going forward.
Again the 10 listed teams, but it will not include International signings from those teams. International signed players not on a league franchise will be available in Free Agency. I’m not going to compromise that particular group of players ( International).

Hey guys, I know you’re busy but when will the spreadsheet have updated salaries on it? Mine for example shows Gallo at 11 million when he’s only making 5 million this year. Thanks

The BOD are discussing how to get it all caught up before the draft so everyone knows exactly where they stand cap wise before drafting and FA moves….Hang in there, we will have it all updated soon 👍

Walker Buehler is listed on the spread sheet as on my 60 day DL list but is not showing on my yahoo roster We didn't have to maintain 60 day IL players on our yahoo rosters, they were able to just be labeled as 60 day and dropped to that section of the spreadsheet. That will be going away this year though I believe. Sent from my SM-S918W using Tapatalk
