Where are the rules for payroll caps? What is the time frame and penalty for being above salary floor?

Where are the rules for payroll caps? What is the time frame and penalty for being above salary floor? In season Cap numbers are on the spreadsheet under League Payroll. You should not be allowed to go over or under the Cap all season long. So if you do you must get within the League Cap floor & ceiling within in 72 hours. Via trade it won’t be allowed. If you Waive a player and go under the cap floor you will not be allowed to sign any free agent unless their won contract is above the amount you are under at that point. Question: if i drop a player i cant start bidding on him, only can join bidding started by someone else. Is that permanent? IF i drop guy this year i cant start bidding next year?

I believe the answer is yes to starting one next year no problem. I think the main thing would be to avoid dropping say Judge at $40m to try to get him for half that price kind of move. I know in my other league if you drop someone, you can't bid on them at all that season. Even if someone else starts an auction for that player. Sent from my SM-S918W using Tapatalk |

I believe that you can’t start a bid on any player that is on your Guaranteed FA Contracts Won list, even in subsequent years.

Teams can not start bidding on players they released, however they can join in on the free agent bidding process once a Free Agency bid is placed on said player during the current fantasy season. Future seasons they can start bidding on any player they had previously on their roster and Waived them.
